Chef babette has a knack for keeping her food simple, and the latest example of that is her recipe for a traditional dish: cheesecakes.
As the title suggests, the recipe involves baking a batch of cookies into a doughnut shell with a scoop of ice cream inside.
But instead of just baking them in the oven, Chef Babette’s cheesecake doughnuts are baked at room temperature, allowing the cookies to keep their soft, moist texture for hours.
She’s also sharing a video of the process with us, so you can see for yourself.
The recipe looks straightforward enough, but Chef Babettes secret is that she uses a little extra cream to make it look like a cream cheese, which she describes as “a soft, creamy cheese with a bit of vanilla.”
She’s using the vanilla flavor for the cheesecake shells, which you can find on her Instagram page.
