Chefs choose the best restaurant in the country to dine out, with some preferring a steakhouse.
Chef and restaurateur Tom Schurman of Schurmans Restaurant & Bar in Minneapolis said it’s a bit like being a chef and having to pick which restaurant is best for the job.
Schurman said he would love to go back to his hometown of St. Paul to dined at the local restaurant, which has a reputation for its steak and lobster.
“The food’s fantastic, the service’s great, the wine list is huge, the decor’s wonderful,” he said.
I want to eat at a restaurant that has the highest quality ingredients, and that has great service.
There’s a lot of choices.
I’m always thinking, where do I go?
I’m not trying to be limited.
I’ll go somewhere where I know it’s going to be great, and I’m going to love it.

You can’t just be a chef.

Schmuseh has been a restaurateur for nearly 30 years and his wife of 28 years, Krista, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota’s culinary program.
The couple is also raising their three children.
Their four children are currently in high school, and Schmusehl said he has a special place in their hearts for his son, Nathan.”

Schmeurs restaurant has become a destination for tourists to dines and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Twin Cities, while serving a more upscale dining experience.
It is currently ranked No. 8 on the list of the Top 100 Restaurants in the United States.
