By now, you’ve probably heard of the recent controversy surrounding the pay of some green muppeteers.
The controversy is over the salaries of several top-tier green muppet chefs, and whether or not they can afford to live in New York City.
According to the New York Post, green maudlin chefs, such as Jamie Oliver, have been getting rich off of the New Yorkers.
While most muppet chefs don’t live in Manhattan, the New Jersey-based actor-turned-author Jamie Oliver has been making an estimated $150,000 per episode to live on, thanks to his role on HBO’s “Parks and Recreation.”
Jamie Oliver, pictured here with his “Parsley” character, has reportedly earned over $200,000 since launching his own TV show.
According to the Post, the muppetry star has been living off the earnings of his Green Chef series.
Green muppeters can earn up to $100,000 a year working in New Jersey.
In the New Orleans area, the salary range is $50,000 to $70,000, depending on the job and what position the muppet is in.
However, Green Chef can make the maudlins feel more comfortable by providing them with free meals.
