Chef Skip is set to win the title in French, winning the prestigious Michelin star chef title for his new restaurant in France.
The French edition of The New York Times Magazine said Friday that Chef Skip will be announced on Tuesday as the first chef to win a star.
He is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America and has also served at restaurants in France, Italy, Spain, Japan and Germany.
He will compete for the title of French chef-in-chief.
“Chef Skip’s first appearance at the top of the French restaurant scene will be a triumph for the Michelin family, a proud partner of our award-winning Michelin team,” the Times said.
“He has made a bold leap, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our Michelin House of Excellence.”
